Weapons Of The World
The HMS Queen Elizabeth is the newest aircraft carrier to join the Royal Navy and it is very impressive. So far the gigantic vessel has blown away the crowds with its immense size as it travels around the waters of Portsmouth, but not much for the inside. Some crews were allowed a look at the interior of the new aircraft carrier and they did not disappoint.
One would expect a naval vessel to have a standard interior all metal and no heart. However, the inside of the HMS Queen Elizabeth is unlike anything seen on a typical ship of its kind. The floors are liked with fine wood, comfortable chairs, high-definition TVs.
The exquisite interiors provide a luxurious experience for the crew members to relax when they are off duty but they also have another purpose. When the HMS Queen Elizabeth isn’t in battle it will use these settings for diplomatic purposes.
“HMS Queen Elizabeth is principally a fighting ship but her diplomatic role in carrying the flag for the nation is also vital.”
– Captain Jerry Kyd (Commanding Officer)
The insides are something else entirely and surely will be the envy of other fleets. Take a closer look at them in this video.
